Dog-Friendly Chocolate Ingredients

We all know that chocolate isn't safe for dogs but this delicious dog-friendly chocolate recipe will have your dog's tail wagging.

This dog-friendly chocolate recipe contains peanut butter, Greek yogurt and carob powder

Plain Greek yogurt contains probiotics which are beneficial to a dog's gut health. Just ensure there's no added sweeteners or other ingredients.

Peanut butter is safe for dogs providing you ensure it is xylitol free

Xylitol is toxic for dogs and it is essential that your dog doesn't consume any amount of this ingredient.

Carob powder is safe for dogs again, checking that the product doesn't contain xylitol.

Due to its sweetness, it should only be enjoyed as an occasional treat

Ingredients You'll Need

  • Natural peanut butter (Ensure this is xylitol free)
  • Natural Greek yoghurt
  • Carob powder

Step-by-Step Instructions

Here's how to make the dog-friendly chocolate:

Step 1 - Melt Peanut Butter

Melt the xylitol free peanut butter in a microwave friendly bowl in short bursts (10-20 seconds). You want the peanut butter to be melted enough to drizzle.

Step 2 - Pour Into Mould

Pour a layer of the peanut butter into a silicone mould.

Step 3 - Mix the other ingredients

In a bowl, mix natural Greek yoghurt with carob powder until well combined.

Step 4 - Spoon Into Mould

Spoon the yoghurt mixture over the peanut butter layer in the mould.

Step 5 - Freeze

Freeze for several hours until solid, then pop out and serve!

Allow to cool before serving to your dog.
